Cooked pumpkin is perfect for making pumpkin soup, pie and pancakes.
Raw pumpkin has a fresh, somewhat bitter flavour and a fibrous, stringy texture. It can be difficult to eat on its own so it’s usually puréed or grated.
Cooked pumpkin, on the other hand, tastes much sweeter. The taste is often compared to sweet potatoes or squash.
