Akela kibble is extruded with a Thermal Twin extruder using the lowest temperatures possible; producing more digestible foods without the nutrient degradation that can be seen at high temperature processing. The extrusion and drying processes do not use very high temperatures – just over 90 degrees centigrade (the minimum for safety reasons) and under 180 degrees centigrade - this is lower than you would cook a pizza at! This means that proteins stay highly digestible and natural vitamins and minerals survive the process better. Some ingredients are added after extrusion too - for example all vitamin levels stated in the nutritional additive section are added after cooking to guarantee minimum levels.

I like Akela because it's natural and I know that Odie will be getting all the nutrition he needs. He's an active dog, and we regularly go for long walks, hikes and jogging, so it's important to me that he has a food that gives him the necessary protein, vitamins and minerals.Price Quality

Helped with my rescue dogs behavioural issues he is much calmer and also I have less poop to scoop so he is obviously absorbing all the goodness and the rash on his tummy has completely gone ..this is he best food I have ever had and they absolutely love it..licking the bowels for ever after it's gone.
